Hi all,
After the success of “Rapunzel” in January, the SMP committee have been working hard behind the scenes to come up with lots of exciting plans for the rest of the year starting with our #SMPSummer events programme.
We have decided that instead of putting on a large scale production this Summer we would create lots of opportunities to sing, dance, fundraise and socialise together before we start our panto rehearsals in September.
You may have seen that rehearsals have already started for our plays and we look forward to performing them at the Welwyn drama festival later on in the year. We will be offering SMP friends and family the opportunity to see a preview of the plays so keep following us for more information.
SMP belongs to all of us, so if you have an idea for an event you want to include in #SMPSummer big or small, please do get in touch, all suggestions are welcome!

Sending two plays to Welwyn Drama Festival is an incredible accomplishment in itself, but we also have the following to show off about…
Hannah, playing Robin in Dead Offensive, nominated for Best Actress
James, director of both our plays, nominated for Best Director
Jasper, providing live music for These Are The Days, nominated for Special Contribution To The Festival
And finally, These Are The Days WON SECOND PLACE IN THE FESTIVAL OVERALL!!
So much work, time and effort went into these plays, which shows in our nominations, awards, and more importantly, the fun we had on and off stage!

Dance Class With Jo
She’s been teaching dance for nearly 20 years and we’re very luck to be one of the many places she’s taught at.
Our Dance Class With Jo is the perfect combination of fitness and fun. What we love is that Jo makes sure all of her classes are for all dance abilities.
She’s been dancing up a storm all summer and we hope to haver her continue as our talented dance teacher.

What a fantastic social & fundraiser for SMP
We re-lived the magic of our Movie Night production on the big screen. This was a totally original SMP show and had some of the best audience feedback we’ve ever received.
So it was fantastic to be able to step back into the magic and sing along!
