The Mermaid Blog – Opening Night

Good afternoon your fabulous readershipnesses! Crusty here! Also known as Rebecca.

I am thrilled to be writing the opening night blog for the first ever production of The Little Mermaid – written by Warren McWilliams.

This is my first time playing a villain and though being booed is normally a bad thing, I’m really enjoying it.

It’s very liberating to be able to pick your nose on stage and flick it into the audience! Oh wait… the Director Michael Lacey has just asked me to stop doing that grrrr!

It has been amazing rehearsing for this show and it is so wonderful to now be performing it! The energy and buzz from everyone involved is infectious and I’m loving every minute!

The production team, band, crew, costumers and cast have created something very special and I am proud to be a part of it.

Audience members last night described the show as a spectacle with some commenting that it’s the best one they’ve seen to date! So come on down and enjoy the spectacle, cheer us boo us, sing and dance with us as we continue onto our next performances.

I promise I will only flick the gourmet bogies your way.

You can book your tickets here, if you want to come to one of our 2.30pm matinees please book now as tickets are limited for those performances:
