SMP at the London New Years Parade 2019

For the third year running SMP took part in the London New Year’s Day Parade (LNYDP)  We had an absolute blast once again and loved celebrating New Years dancing throuh the streets of London and waving to all the crowds. This year’s theme was ‘London Welcomes the World’ and we did that with a magical English Country Garden Picinic providing a Gmome from Gnome to the world.

We were lucky enough to be asked by our Mayor Saray Karakus to represent Enfield once again and the Mayor joined us on the parade route giving us an extra special touch of class! Thanks to Paul Everitt once again for nominating us.

Huge thanks to everyone involved in making the float look great but especially Matt McManus, Ian Smith, Luke Clow, Fay Kemal and Warren McWilliams for all their efforts and once again to Phil Stannard for the tech kit onboard the float.

Though we didn’t emmulate last years success in the competition we had a great time once again!

Here’s some clips and pics of the day.
